Meet Enza Kursun from Doonside Hawks Soccer Club
Three people I would love to invite to dinner: Nikolai Topov-Stanley, Adam Sandler and Channing Tatum.
My most embarrassing moment: Jumped off a wall at Woodcroft Shops and fell flat on my face. My kids and other people were around. A motorist stopped to make sure I was OK then decided to start lecturing me! I just got up and continued walking.
My first car: A Suzuki 800 — it was my little green machine.
My last meal would be: Thai green curry prawns.
What people may not know about me is: I left school and worked in a bank for 17 years, then nervously went to the NSW Police Force as a public servant and now work for Transport for NSW in a position I never thought I would ever hold. Especially for someone who left school in year 10.
I wish I hadn't: Waited so long to start travelling.
My earliest memory is: When I was little I went fishing off the rocks with my dad at Maroubra. I saw what I thought to be a cat. Luckily for me my dad saw it . . . it was a very big rat!
A movie I think everyone should see: Blended with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.
The one thing I will never throw out: A garden gnome that was painted for me many years ago just before the first of our grand final soccer wins. A lucky gnome.
If I could have a super power it would be: To know what the person in front of me is thinking
My fantasy job: My fantasy job would be to earn what I earn now but to be more involved in the soccer industry.
The best advice I ever received: I could achieve anything I put my mind to.
If I was down to my last $10 I would spend it on: my family…they always come first
The most amazing thing I‘ve ever done is: I became a soccer coach for the Doonside Hawks Soccer Club almost 8 years ago. I coached both boys and girls teams. I have coached some amazing kids over the years and can proudly say that for three years in a row my boy’s team won the Grand Finals. I have also managed teams, joined the committee and play in a women’s team – never too old to play!!
On my bedside table is: A lamp, alarm clock, pretty boring actually!
